Military and Veterans College, Career, and Apprenticeship Workshop
The Alabama Community College System (ACCS) and the Alabama Association of Resource Conservation and Development Councils (Alabama RC & D) have partnered to create a workshop catered specifically to the Active Military and Veterans population. This workshop is designed to provide service members with information on ways their military benefits can help them earn a college degree, learn new skills to enter or advance in their current role, as well as how to enter the workforce after their military separation.
Thirty ACCS Military and Veterans College and Career Workshops will take place at all of our 2-year community colleges across the state of Alabama beginning Monday, January 26, through Tuesday, February 28.
*Meet and Greet starts at 9:30 am followed by the main program at 10:00 am.
The ACCS Workforce Division has sponsored a $2000.00 scholarship to be given away to a veteran, active military member, or their dependent who attends. The scholarship can be used for credit and non-credit programs, beginning with the Summer 2023 semester. MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN.
