OBJECTIVES

PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

1.7 Increase the percentage of AA/AS faculty applying new assessment techniques and web-based delivery techniques by September 30, 2008 to 75% of full-time and 50% of adjunct.

Baselines: 0% use new assessment techniques; 10% use web-based techniques as of fall 2003.

1.7a. Faculty professional development workshops in use of latest  pedagogical techniques, assessment tools, and web-based instruction attended by 80% of full-time and 50% of adjunct AA/AS faculty.

1.7b. Syllabi for courses taught by 75% of full-time faculty and 50% of adjunct faculty document use of techniques taught in the workshops by Sept. 30,2008.

1.8. Increase instructional responsiveness to student needs as documented by increased student success and increased student satisfaction with instruction by September 30, 2008.

Baselines: 1.8a. There are no web-based degree options as of fall 2003.  1.8b and 1.8c. Student success rate baselines have been computed for all fall 2003 courses from the semester grading file.  1.8d. The 2003 Noel Levitz SSI results for Instructional Effectiveness subset are on file.

1.8a. Group IV (ten courses) redesigned to provide AS General Education degree with campus-based and distance learning options by September 30, 2008.

1.8b. The student success rate (A,B,C) increased by 5% in the Group IV pilot for spring 2008 as compared to the fall 2003 baseline.

1.8c. Group III courses achieve 10% increase in success rate by Sep.30, 2008.

1.8d. Student satisfaction with instruction increased by 10% above the 2003 Noel Levitz SSI for all AA/AS students by Sept. 30, 2008.

2.4. Increase retention to graduation for FTIC students in AA/AS degree programs by 10% by September 30, 2008.

Baselines: 2.4a. No Virtual College capability in fall 2003.  2.4b. Three year graduation rate for fall 2000 FTIC was 14% as of June 1, 2003.

2.4a. Percentage of students using the Virtual College for academic support increased from 0% in 2003 to 50% of eligible students by September 30, 2008.

2.4b. The three year retention to graduation rate for fall 2005 first time in college (FTIC) AA/AS degree cohort increases by 10% above the baseline by September 30, 2008.
