Welcome to the Prospective Student Resource Page, and thanks for your interest in our nursing programs. Below you will find the criteria for admission to nursing programs at Calhoun Community College in printable PDF documents. Applications for Admission into these programs are also linked under the criteria. Follow the instructions for each form carefully and completely to ensure your consideration by the admissions committee. Please contact the nursing department by phone (306-2804) with any questions about these programs. Please also print out and sign the ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS document that is linked below.

  All students must submit a SIGNED Essential Functions document with their applications. The form is included in each packet below.
 
 
 
 
  • Complete Package for the Delayed Progression Nursing Program (includes essential functions document, criteria, application and curriculum). The Delayed Progression Nursing Program uses internet technology to provide nursing education to nontraditional students on a more flexible schedule than the traditional program. This US Department of Labor funded program allows students to proceed at a slower rate in nursing while maintaining a relatively normal routine in life and current job. Prospective students should be aware that COMPASS reading scores (or their ACT equivalents) are a significant portion of the entry score that the Admissions Committee will use to rank order the applicants to the Nursing Programs. Information about the COMPASS exam, types of questions that you will be asked, and sample questions that will help you prepare for the exam are on the ACT website. Follow the instructions below to access these materials.

3. Select SAMPLE QUESTIONS

4. Select any of the questions that you wish to review.
