Gil Loeser
Gil Loeser is also in his first season with the Lady Warhawks. He is a former assistant softball coach at St. Petersburg College and Hillsborough Community College in Central Florida, where he enjoyed much success.
Coach Loeser holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of Houston. He is currently employed as a Senior Software Engineer for The Boeing Company in Huntsville.
Gil’s family is very involved in softball. His wife, Linda, has been the lead statistician for her softball family for many years. Their daughter, Dawn, played scholarship softball for St. Petersburg Junior College in Florida and Milligan College in Tennessee. She is now a nurse in Johnson City, Tennessee. Gil and Linda’s son, Ray, attended Mississippi State University on a softball manager scholarship. He is now a full-time assistant softball coach at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Arkansas.
The teams Coach Loeser worked with compiled a 455-248 record including: a National Jean Williams Award winner (best female athlete in JUCO who has shown exceptional leadership, scholarship, and athletic success), 4 JUCO All-American players, 17 JUCO Academic All-Americans, 24 All-Region players, 54 All-Conference players, and he helped move 58 players to four-year schools on scholarship, including a record 11 in 2001.
Coach Loeser will be working with the Lady Warhawks in all phases of the game, with an emphasis on infielders and recruiting.
