Dr. Debi Hendershot
Dean for Planning, Research & Grants
Debi has been involved in higher education administration for over twenty years and currently serves as the college administrator responsible for planning, conducting, and evaluating institutional research. She oversees implementation of the college strategic plan and provides direction to individuals seeking funding from external sources. Debi was recognized as Administrator of the Year for 2007 and 2009 and led the reaffirmation effort in 2011. She holds a B.S. from Athens State University, M.S. from Faulkner University, and Ph.D. from the University of Alabama.
Institutional Research Analyst
Tammy joined the planning and research team in 2005 and coordinates institutional research, assessment, and evaluation activities to support Calhoun’s strategic and operational plans. She collects, analyzes, and reports critical data associated with student enrollment, demographics, and faculty and staff to both internal and external constituents. Tammy is a graduate of SACCR’s Strategic Planning Academy and holds a B.S. from the University of North Alabama.
Leah works closely with faculty and staff in researching funding opportunities, writing proposals, and meeting grant deadlines. She is also responsible for monitoring awarded grants, coordinating grant reports, and maintaining relevant files. Leah joined Calhoun in 2013 and has extensive prior experience in higher education, both as an English instructor and a major gifts officer. She holds a B.A. from Athens State University and an M.A. from the University of Montevallo.
