About Calhoun

The Office of Planning, Research, & Grants

The Office of Planning, Research and Grants gathers, analyzes and presents accurate data in a user-friendly format to use in developing grant proposals and to assist in data-based decision making.  This Office also provides the tools and framework for strategic planning conducted by the Planning Council, academic units, administrative units and educational support units.  Coordinating the College’s efforts in grants seeking, grants development and grants management is also a critical function of this office.

The Office of Planning, Research and Grants coordinates and publishes results of the College's strategic planning activities and various assessments such as the Student Satisfaction Survey, CAAP, CCSSE, Graduating Student Survey, and College Services Survey. Environmental scanning reports are also produced to allow the College to benchmark with state and national peer institutions and monitor economic elements.

The efforts of the Office of Planning, Research and Grants supports the College’s mission and strategic plan by serving as the clearinghouse for  assessment of academic and administrative units.  The Office provides a supportive, responsive environment to faculty, staff and students for accountability and improvement of processes, services and instruction.  In addition, the Office seeks external funding to support student services, scholarships and equipment necessary for student success.
