Never was the intimacy and dramatic potential of the Black Box more fully realized than in Jim Leonard Jr.'s moving tale of a disturbed teenage boy in Indiana during the Great Depression. The Black Box became a country church in which the actors performed a play within a play and remained onstage throughout. The tragic but inspiring ending, while the entire company sang "Amazing Grace", was one of the most unforgettable moments ever on our stage. |
