Student Advisory Committee

The role of the Student Support Services Emerging Scholars Program Student Advisory Council (SAC) is to allow for student input into the Emerging Scholars Program. The Student Advisory Council will meet once per month during the semester to discuss the Emerging Scholars Program and generate ideas from students on making the program better. Students involved in the SAC will assist in planning Emerging Scholars Program events and help promote its services. The Student Advisory Council is also responsible for selecting the Emerging Scholars Program Student of the Month.

Ten Emerging Scholars Program students serve on the Student Advisory Council. Five members are appointed by the staff and the other five are elected by the Emerging Scholars Program students.

If you are interested in serving on the Student Advisory Council, please contact the program director.
