Ahead of the Wake
From their original arrangements to their popular covers, they put their own twist on conventional Southern Rock. The four member band creates a musical intoxicant; one part old school Southern rock, one part Blues, and one part modern Rock and Roll topped off with a splash of funk! Ahead of the Wake includes band members: Trey Allred (lead vocals/drums), Zach Graham (guitar/vocals), Eric Crampsey (bass guitar/vocals), Clint Riddle (guitar). These local Alabama boys have already made a substantial name for themselves by playing with bands such as, The Drive By Truckers, and sharing special performances with Pete Carr (singer and song writer: Pete Carr). Taking captive the ears of the local listeners, they made a name for themselves by playing at area favorites; namely, Maria Bonitas & The Brick (Dectaur, AL) and Side Pockets (Florence, AL). As they have expanded as a band they have extended their playing fields to numerous cities within the South. They have also been found playing local music festivals such as the Spirit of America Festival, Alabama Jubilee, and Big Spring Jam. Ready to Stretch their wings, they began their quest to record their first album in August of 2006. With the help of their good friend and audio engineer/producer Andrew Hull of AfaraWayland Productions, they settled on the perfect location, The Dancy Polk House . Being the oldest building in the city of Decatur, the unique location brought much inspiration to these 4 musicians. Their CD is to include all original songs and will be released in late summer of 2007. Something to get strait…Ahead of the Wake is young and new, but they exceed the musical abilities of most bands, and do so with such a style and groove that you will not be able to stay in your seat. |

Blues Brothers, Jamey Crisler and Justin Crisler.
Unlike the characters musicians/actors John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd made famous by the 1980 movie that sets the record for most cars wrecked in one film, the Crislers never spent time behind bars. Justin Crisler, 29, now performs the Blues full time. He is in charge of marketing and is co-founder of the act. Justin is married and has two children. Jamey Crisler, 36, is a Licensed Nurse when not touring the world as Jake Blues. He is married and has 4 children. Once in their Blues outfits, all that changes.
For most shows, the brothers book their seven-piece band to accompany them. "Our musicians are from all over the country and we have put together the best showman with the best musicians to take this to another level of entertainment." Justin said. Riding in the back seat of the "Bluesmobile," surrounded by speakers and other sound equipment, staring at the silhouettes of the Crislers is like watching one long extended scene from the movie. On the road, one sometimes feels he's experiencing things that might have ended up on the movie's cutting-room floor. |

Monkee and the Spank Daddys
After touring the world as Little Richard's drummer for nine years, Monkee Wammack formed Monkee & The Spank Daddys in the mid-nineties. The group of veteran musicians that are The Spank Daddys performs hits from the past to the present from many different genres of music. Each member of the band provides vocals to the band's well-polished sound.Monkee, as the front man of the band, provides an entertainment value that is of the highest level. And with a well-seasoned band performing Dance/R&B/ and Classic Rock favorites, everyone is assured a great time.
High-energy entertainment, incredible four-part harmony, great song selection, and superb musicianship make Monkee & The Spank Daddys one of the most sought-after party bands in the Southeast. Monkee and his band have opened shows for The Temptations, The Marshall Tucker Band and John Cage and Steppenwolf. In the summer of 2005, Monkee & The Spank Daddys opened for The Commodores at The Alabama Music Hall of Fame. After a blistering set, the band became Stax music legend Eddy Floyd's backing band. Floyd's biggest hit "Knock on Wood" closed his rousing set just before The Commodores took the stage.
Monkee & The Spank Daddys are just as comfortable performing in front of a small private party, a small to large night club, or in front of thousands at an outdoor show like the Alabama Music Hall of Fame concert. No matter the venue, Monkee & The Spank Daddys will quickly become a favorite must-see band.
