Calhoun Selects Student Ambassadors for 2008-09 Academic Year 

Calhoun Community College President Marilyn Beck today announced the names of the college’s Warhawk student ambassadors for the 2008-09 academic year.  In addition to the nine returning Warhawks from last year, the college has added 19 new students to the group for a total of 28.

The student ambassadors are lead this year by Kayla Lowery, head Warhawk and a resident of Decatur, and Clay Austin, co-head Warhawk and also a Decatur resident.  Other Warhawks who will serve this year are as follows:

  • Latoya  Hunter, Huntsville, Returning Warhawk
  • Andrea  Kerby, Decatur, Returning Warhawk
  • Cody  Locke, Decatur, Returning Warhawk
  • Baley Proctor, Decatur, Returning Warhawk
  • Kenny Spradling, Madison, Returning Warhawk
  • Lizzy Williams, Decatur, Returning Warhawk
  • Mallory Bates, Harvest, New Warhawk
  • Nece Brenley, Somerville, New Warhawk
  • Alyssa Bryant, Athens, New Warhawk
  • Whitney Cox, Anderson, New Warhawk
  • Josiah Farrell, Union Grove, New Warhawk
  • Irene Georgiou, Athens, New Warhawk

“I am extremely impressed with the caliber of student leaders who have been selected to serve as Calhoun’s student ambassadors this year,” commented Beck.   “In addition to excelling academically, these students have taken on the additional responsibility of giving back to the college through their service as Warhawks,” Beck added.
