Calhoun Foundation Scholarship Reception

The Calhoun Community College Foundation will host its 2008 Scholarship Recipient Reception on Thursday, September 18, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. in the Aerospace Training Center on Calhoun’s Decatur campus.  The annual reception allows Calhoun students the opportunity to meet with and thank their scholarship donors.  This year’s student speakers include Ashton Egnor (Elliott Henry Caddell Memorial Scholarship), Gary Holladay, Jr. (National Space Club Scholarship – Huntsville Chapter), and Jessica Robinson (Elton and Marguerite Hinnant Memorial Scholarship).

The reception will also honor community leader, Barrett Shelton, Jr.  Mr. Shelton, publisher of The Decatur Daily and a longtime Calhoun supporter, is a founding member of the college’s Foundation and the creator of one of Calhoun’s first endowed scholarships.
