Scholarship Book Drive
The American Association of University Women (AAUW), Decatur chapter, are sponsoring a BOOK SALE on Friday, December 12 and Saturday, December 13, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. at the Decatur Mall (formerly Colonial Mall) on the Beltline in Decatur. The AAUW booth will be located in the JC Penney wing of the mall. Proceeds from the book sale will go toward an AAUW Scholarship for Women enrolled in their second year of study at Calhoun Community College.
The AAUW is currently accepting donations of new and gently used hard- and soft-cover books for the sale, including all popular genre such as novels, children books, biographies, religion, and cookbooks. Donation drop-offs can be made anytime at the following locations:
- Java Jaays – 6th Ave,Decatur
- Morgan County Senior Center – Central Parkway, Decatur
- The Oasis Coffee Shop – 2nd Avenue, Decatur
- Daily Brew – corner of Hwy 67 and Indian Hills Road, Decatur
