Scholarship Book Drive

The American Association of University Women (AAUW), Decatur chapter, will be sponsoring a BOOK SALE on Friday, December 7 and Saturday, December 8, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. at the Decatur Mall (formerly Colonial Mall) on the Beltline in Decatur.  The AAUW booth will be located in the JC Penney wing of the mall.  Proceeds from the book sale will go toward an AAUW Scholarship for Women enrolled in their second year of study at Calhoun Community College.

The AAUW is currently accepting donations of new and gently used hard- and soft-cover books for the sale, including all popular genre such as novels, children books, biographies, religion, and cookbooks.  Donation drop-offs can be made at the following locations:

1. November 14, 2007:
   Physical Therapist Office (there will be an AAUW Banner in front of building)
   11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. 
   Austinville Rd off a14th Street (behind Charleston Place)
   .
2. Anytime:
   Java Jaays – 6th Ave, Decatur
   Morgan County SeniorCenter – Central Parkway, Decatur
   Daily Brew – corner of Hwy 67 and Indian Hills Road, Decatur
