Calhoun to Host Technology Open House
The Technologies and Workforce Development Division at Calhoun Community College will host a Technology Open House and Tour on November 5 and 6, 2007, at the college’s Decatur Campus. The event will be held on November 5 from 6:00-7:30 pm and on November 6 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.
Attendees will have the opportunity to talk with program instructors in the following areas: Aerospace Technology, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Design Drafting Technology, Industrial Technologies (electrical, instrumentation, and automation/robotics), Industrial Maintenance, Machine Tool Technology and Process Technology.
Tours will be conducted throughout the technology program and will include the opportunity to see the College’s new Center for Manufacturing Innovation.
This event is free and open to the public and provides an excellent opportunity for high school students and their parents, individuals currently in the workforce looking to change or upgrade their positions, persons in need of training to re-enter the workforce and current college students to find out more about educational and employment opportunities in these fast growing, well-paying fields.
