Calhoun to Dedicate Health Sciences Center
On Friday, October 5, 2007, Calhoun Community College will dedicate its Health Sciences Center during an official ceremony beginning at 11:00 a.m. on the Decatur campus. Alabama Department of Postsecondary Chancellor Bradley Byrne will participate in this event, which will include tours of the building provided by students currently enrolled in Calhoun's health programs. The $13.5M, 64,609 square foot Heath Sciences Center houses a state-of-the-art healthcare training facility for Calhoun’s nursing, dental assisting, emergency medical services, surgical technology, massage therapy, clinical laboratory technology, phlebotomy, and certified nursing assistant programs.
