CMI Career Technology College Day for HS Seniors
Calhoun Community College Technology Division is having a Career Technology College Day on Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at the Calhoun Decatur campus. The event is for high school students considering technical careers and high school seniors who are undecided about their careers.
Counselors are being asked to select two students and one alternate to participate in this event. There will be a maximum of 48 students (total) selected from the high schools in Calhoun’s service area. Please ask students to complete the attached application and return it to you by April 13. We ask that you fax or e-mail these applications to Calhoun by Monday, April 16. Once we receive these applications, we will be in contact with each student with further details about the day.
Students will meet at the Aerospace Training Center at 8:00 a.m. and the event
will end at 3:00 p.m.
The event will provide participants hands-on career exploration into the fields of technology including Aerospace, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration, Design Drafting, Electrical, Industrial Maintenance, Instrumentation Technology, Machine Tool, and Process Technology. Students planning to enter technical fields are invited, but we are also seeking to spark an interest in technology in students who are still searching for their career niche.
Don’t miss this exciting career opportunity for your students! For more information, call Ann Coleman (256-306-2938) or LaTanja Banks (256-306-2912) or click here.
