Chancellor Byrne to Keynote Calhoun Fall In-service
Bradley Byrne, chancellor of the Alabama College System, will deliver the keynote address during Calhoun Community College’s fall in-service activities, scheduled for Monday, August 13, 2007, in the Health Sciences Center at the college’s Decatur campus.
According to Calhoun President Marilyn Beck, Byrne is expected to deliver the address at 9am. Other activities planned for this annual “kick-off” to the new academic year will include the introduction of new employees; presentation of service awards for employees with 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 years of service to the college; and updates on various Calhoun programs and projects to include the WIRED (Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development) and CMI (Center for Manufacturing Innovations) grants and the newly-announced Biotechnology associate’s degree program. The day will conclude with department and division meetings.
