TVA Contributes $5,000 to Calhoun Community College
Calhoun Community College has received a contribution of $5,000 from the Tennessee Valley Authority Corporate Contributions to enhance technical programs at the college.
The college will use the contribution toward the purchase of a hydraulic conduit bender for its electrical technology program. Graduates in the program are in high demand throughout north Alabama and across the state.
"We are extremely appreciative of this donation from TVA, which will allow students graduating from Calhoun’s Electrical Technology program to be more competitive in the job market," said Calhoun President Dr. Marilyn C. Beck.
"TVA has been a long-time supporter and corporate partner to Calhoun, and we thank them for their contributions not just to Calhoun but to the entire community," Dr. Beck added.
