Calhoun Announces 2006
Scholarship Application Deadlines

The Student Financial Services office at Calhoun Community College today announced application deadline dates for scholarships to be awarded by the college for the 2006-2007 academic year.

According to Deborah Byrd, Financial Aid director, the deadline to apply for any Calhoun Scholarship is March 1 . As part of the application process, applicants for any scholarship at the college are REQUIRED to complete and submit a processed Free Application for Federal Student Aid ( FAFSA ) form in order to qualify for a scholarship. The form may be completed and submitted online at www.fafsa.ed.gov .

"Current and potential students desiring to complete the online FAFSA process should do so no later than February 24, 2006 . Those students who choose to submit a paper FAFSA form by mail should have the form in our office no later than February 15 ," Byrd said.

Students interested in applying for any Calhoun scholarship (academic, Foundation, music, athletic, nursing, etc.) may now do so by completing one scholarship form. The form may be found on the college's website at www.calhoun.edu or a copy may be obtained at any of the college's campus locations.
