Calhoun Community College
to Hold Baseball and Softball Tryouts

Calhoun Community College will conduct tryouts for its new men’s baseball program at noon, Saturday, June 4, 2005, at the school’s baseball field located on the Decatur campus. Tryouts for the women’s softball team will be held Monday, June 6, at 5:30 p.m. at Athens High School.

Interested persons should provide their own equipment. Students will be asked to provide personal information and sign a liability release. In addition, they will need to provide the name of the high school they attended as well as the high school coach’s name and contact number. Click here for Forms.

Tryouts are open to all high school graduates, current Calhoun Community College students, and prospective college students. Athletes who have made a verbal or written commitment to another college or university must provide a written release from that institution’s baseball coach or softball coach to participate in the Calhoun Community College tryouts. The institution’s coach may verbally contact Coach Morrill or Dr. Keenum prior to the tryout date.
