According to the Calhoun Admissions Office, approximately 1,000 students have completed requirements for graduation during the 2004-2005 academic year. Of that number, nearly 400 plan to participate in the graduation ceremony.

Congressman Aderholt was educated in the Alabama public school system and graduated from Birmingham Southern College, and the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. He and his wife, Caroline, live in Haleyville with their two children, six year-old Mary Elliott, and one year-old Robert Hayes.
Also during the ceremony, the College will honor retiring faculty with more than 10 years service. In addition, Mr. Jimmy Smith, Calhoun alumnus, will receive a Medallion of Recognition for Service to the College and the community.
Earlier in the day, the annual Candlelighting Ceremony for graduates of the College’s Associate Degree Nursing program will be held at 2:00 p.m., also in the gymnasium. Keynote speaker for the ceremony is Calhoun’s 2004 Outstanding Faculty member, Deb Miller.
On Thursday, May 12, the College will recognize the 2005 Adult Education graduates.
