Calhoun Community College
Presents Digital Photography Exhibit
“THE MAINE EVENT,” a digital image essay by John T. Davis, adjunct photography instructor, is currently on display in the Fine Arts Gallery of Calhoun Community College.
The show runs through January 30, 2005, and consists of 30 large format digital photos featuring the coast of Maine. Mr. Davis assembled the collection during a trip to the northeastern tip of the United States during the summer of 2004. The entire collection was created using the Nikon D100 digital camera, adjusted using Adobe Photoshop CS and printed on Epson 2200 and 1280 printers. There will be an artist reception and gallery lecture on Monday, January 24, 2005, at 4:30 p.m., during which the artist will discuss the technology and stories behind the images.
The Calhoun Community College Fine Arts Gallery is located in the Fine Arts building on the Decatur campus. For more information on this exhibit, contact Kristine Beadle at 256-306-2703. See more information.
