Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration Rescheduled
Calhoun Community College has re-scheduled its annual program honoring civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Tuesday, February 22, 2005, beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the Fine Arts Auditorium on the college's Decatur campus.
The program will feature performances by the Davis Hills Middle School ( Huntsville ) drama club and choir. According to Dr. Izora Harrison, coordinator of the Calhoun MLK commemorative program, the event is free and open to the public. “Each year, Calhoun plans a special celebration to commemorate the life of Dr. King, and we are always pleased at the participation we have from our local community,” said Harrison .
