Calhoun Psychology Club Sponsors Blood Drive

The Calhoun Community College Psychology Club will sponsor a blood drive in conjunction with the American Red Cross on Tuesday, July 13, 2004. The drive will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. in the lobby of the Chasteen Student Center on the Decatur campus.

The Psychology Club is an academic and social organization open to all Calhoun Community College students who have an interest in psychology as a major or minor and to any other student who expresses interest in participating.

Since its inception in December 2003, the club has spearheaded a variety of successful events, including: 1) making Easter baskets for youth at the Athens Boys & Girls Club;  2) a campus-wide spring food and clothing drive that yielded 1,000 food items and over 700 articles of clothing; and 3) placing 2nd in Calhoun’s Student Government Association’s Comedy Club with a spoof on American Idol called “American Addict.”
