Calhoun Emergency Medical Technician Program
Awarded Accreditation
Calhoun
Community College
recently received notification from the Commission on Accreditation of
Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) and the Committee on
Accrediation of Educational Programs from the EMS Professions (CoAEMSP)
that the college’s Emergency Medical Technician program has received
its initial three-year accreditation status.
The
nationally recognized accreditation process consisted of a self-study by the
program, a site visit by CoAEMSP, and an evaluation of the results by CAAHEP.
Calhoun’s EMT program was commended for its preparedness and organization by
CoAEMSP in its approval recommendation.
