Calhoun Community College to Host
2nd Annual Golf Tournament
Calhoun
Community College is hosting its annual fund-raising golf tournament
on Friday, April 25, 2003, beginning at 8:00 a.m. The Four-Man
Scramble will be held at the Sunset Landing Golf Course near the
Huntsville International Airport. Proceeds will benefit Calhoun's
Division of Student Affairs, to provide scholarships, services, and
educational programs for Calhoun students.
The golf tournament is
open to the public, but limited to the first 25 teams. Entry fee is $60.00 for
individuals or $240.00 per team. Prizes will be awarded for the first, second
and third place teams as well as for the winners of the Close-to-the-Pin,
Longest-Drive and Hole-in-One contests. Mulligans are $5 each (two per
player). Registration deadline is April 23, 2003.
This year, a
new, 2003 Buick LeSabre, donated by Jimmy Smith Pontiac, Buick, GMC of Athens,
Alabama, is first prize for the Hole-In-One Contest. Other Tournament prizes
include: 1st Place Team -- $100.00 prize value each member; 2nd Place Team --
$75.00 prize value each member; 3rd Place Team -- $50.00 prize value each
member; Longest Drive -- Prize valued at $100.00; Closest to the pin -- Prize
valued at $150.00; and a variety of other door prizes. (Shown
