Calhoun's 4CTV to Expand into Athens Area

Calhoun Community College’s television station, 4CTV, will officially expand into the Athens/Limestone County area on Monday, May 12, 2003.  Calhoun President Dr. Marilyn Beck will announce the expansion project during a news conference to be held at 10:00 am on May 12 in the station, located in the college’s Fine Arts building on the Decatur campus.

4CTV, which was developed through a partnership between Calhoun and Charter Communications, officially went live in August 2001 and is currently viewed primarily in homes in Decatur and portions of Morgan County.  The station broadcasts 24 hours a day, seven days a week and airs Calhoun and community service announcements, Calhoun job announcements, college classes, commercially-produced video instruction and college events including Graduation and Honors Day.
