Calhoun Nursing Director Selected for Inclusion in Alabama’s
“FACE of Nursing” Calendar

In a continuing effort to celebrate and recognize professional nurses, the Alabama State Nurses Association each year sponsors The FACE of Nursing project. Angela Watkins, program director in the Nursing department at Calhoun Community College, has been selected as one of 12 nurses from around the state to appear in the 2010 Alabama “Faces of Nursing” Calendar.

Nurses are nominated by an informative essay submitted by a colleague. Watkins was nominated by Dr. Sybil Roark of the Calhoun Nursing department. Candidates selected have served as an inspiration to other nurses and patients through demonstration of outstanding professional nursing practices.

Watkins and the 11 other selected nurses will also be featured in the upcoming issue of The Alabama Nurse , and will be recognized at the 2009 ASNA Convention to be held October 1-3, 2009 in Florence, Alabama.
