Calhoun to Host B.E.S.T
(Building Excellence in Students Today)
Open House
Current students, potential students and parents will have the opportunity to hear and see more of what Calhoun Community College has to offer during the college’s first Building Excellence in Students Today (B.E.S.T.) Open House, Thursday, January 31, 2008, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Calhoun’s Decatur campus.
Information and “hands-on” workshops will be offered during the free Open House in a number of areas to include human patient simulators used in several of the college’s health programs; dental assisting; machine tool technology; Calhoun’s music recording studio; filmmaking and photography (including a tour of the college’s television station, 4CTV); aerospace technology; computer graphics and performing arts. Information on the admissions process and financial aid assistance will also be available. Free refreshments will be provided.
Free bus service will be provided for persons from the Huntsville area who are interested in attending the Open House and are in need of transportation; buses will depart from Calhoun’s Huntsville/Cummings Research Park campus. Seating is limited, so early registration is encouraged.
