Part-Time Position Opening

Proctor – Huntsville Campus Testing Center
(1 Position)

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of one (1) year (48 quarter hours or 32 semester hours) of postsecondary education from an accredited institution with coursework in education, business, or computer related field is required.
  2. Proficiency in the use of Internet, email, and computer software programs (e.g. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, etc.) is required.
  3. Ability to answer the phone.
  4. Ability to be able to lift up to 20-30 pounds.
  5. Ability to work flexible hours between 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., Monday - Thursday.
  6. Ability to work on short notification as needed.
  7. Ability to maintain confidentiality of office information is required.
  8. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, other college employees, and the public is required.
  9. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  10. Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
  11. Prior test proctoring experience preferred.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Perform testing operations with sophisticated computer software.
  2. Perform data entry in computer reporting system when students require help.
  3. Proctor academic tests according to faculty member specifications.
  4. Implement and maintain record keeping system for materials involved in test administration.
  5. Promptly notify and work with appropriate Calhoun staff member regarding equipment or software problems, usual student incidents, or any factors affecting the security or integrity of the administration of examinations.
  6. Must be able to operate and maintain video equipment.

Start Date: Immediately after Deadline

Work Hours: various, between 9 am – 8 pm

Hours per week: 19

Salary: $8.00 to $ 10.00, DOE
