Calhoun Community College will present a special photography exhibit October 9 through October 27, 2006, featuring the works of Calhoun employee Carla Swinney. The exhibit, entitled “Intimate Italy,” is located in the Calhoun Community College Fine Arts Gallery on the Decatur campus. It is a collection of over 60 photographs from Ms. Swinney’s recent week-long photography workshop she attended in the Tuscany region and Venice.
In addition to the exhibit, “Meet the Artist” receptions are scheduled for October 12, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served, and the public is encouraged to come meet the artist and discuss their favorite image.
The Calhoun Community College Fine Arts Gallery is located in the Fine Arts building on the Decatur campus. The Gallery is open weekdays from time 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For more information on this exhibit, contact Kathryn Vaughan at 256-306-2695.
