Calhoun primarily serves a four-county area from its one hundred acre campus in Decatur, its Huntsville/Cummings Research Park campus, the Redstone Arsenal site; and a program located at the Limestone Correctional Facility.  The College’s students and staff are highly diverse, representing the communities we serve.  Faculty at the College are well-trained in their respective fields, possessing the appropriate academic credentials for the area in which they provide instruction
Over and above the obvious advantages of affordability, flexibility in class scheduling, and the convenience of remaining close to home, Calhoun Community College is a teaching institution.  In addition to its many academic and technology programs, Calhoun’s Business and Industry Services Division offers customized training programs for companies such as Boeing, Adtran, Delphi/Saginaw, and the Tennessee Valley Authority, successfully meeting the educational and training demands of a unique and highly diverse business community.
Another extremely important service which Calhoun offers is training for displaced workers.  Many of the College’s short-term certificate and non-credit programs are geared to meet this specific need.
Students are at the core of the College’s existence, and every individual, department and division at Calhoun Community College is committed to ensuring the success of each and every student we serve.
