This is a teacher-training program for licensed cosmetologists. Upon completion of this program, the graduate is eligible to take the Alabama State Board of Cosmetology examination, which consists of a practical and written exam, to obtain an instructor’s license. Requirements for admission to this program are set by the Alabama State Board of Cosmetology and include a high school diploma or GED and a valid Alabama cosmetology license. Entry into this program requires the completion of the Cosmetology Certificate program at Calhoun or its equivalent.
