COLLEGE BOOKSTORE TIPS FOR BUYING YOUR TEXTBOOKS

  • If possible, shop early for textbooks. You will avoid long lines and have a better selection on money-saving used books.
  • Take notice of shelf tags. They show book requirements as requested by your instructor.
  • If the shelf tags confuse you, please ask a clerk for assistance. They are there to help you.
  • Make note of textbook refund deadlines.
  • If you change classes or accidentally purchase the wrong book, we will gladly refund your money providing the guidelines of our refund policy are followed. See refund policy.
  • Receipts are required for all refunds or exchanges; books must be in original condition.
  • When a book is listed "optional" we recommend you wait and go to class before purchasing. They are not refundable.
  • Be careful which line you stand in, it may not be for you. Financial aid programs and cash paying customers will have separate lines to help things run more smoothly.
  • If you do have to stand in a long line, take the time to read our posted signs. They are for your benefit.
  • If you are on a financial aid program and must wait until the first day of class to get your books, plan ahead and come early.
  • If you receive any type of financial aid that pays for your books, it is best to reserve your books (and supplies if applicable) through our online store during set dates prior to school starting for the next semester to avoid lines. Check for reserve dates 4-6 weeks prior to the first day of class.
