Calhoun to Offer Free GED Test Cram Sessions
CALHOUN COMMUNITY COLLEGE PHI THETA KAPPA CHAPTER TO OFFER FREE TUTORING TO GED TEST TAKERS
Time Is Running Out!
Due to changes coming to the GED test in 2014, Calhoun Community College’s Adult Education Department is strongly urging students who are considering taking the test, to do so before the end of 2013. These changes include a price increase, an increase in difficulty of the test, and a format change from paper and pencil to completely computer based. Testers who do not pass all five subjects before January will lose any previously passed sections.
To aid students in a review prior to taking the GED test, the Sigma Lambda chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Calhoun will host a series of Exam Cram tutoring sessions in mathematics and writing. All tutoring sessions are free and available to anyone planning to take the GED test. “These tutoring sessions by our PTK students will serve to augment the free classes already being offered by Calhoun’s Adult Education faculty and will serve as just another resource for those planning to take the GED test,” commented PTK Sponsor Necia Nicholas.
The free Exam Cram sessions will be held on Tuesdays between 3:00-7:00pm. Specific dates and locations are listed below. For more information, call 256-306-2845 or 256-890-4755 or email email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org .
