Calhoun to Host BSIDES Cybersecurity Conference


The Huntsville campus of Calhoun Community College will be the host site for the first ever Security BSIDES conference on Saturday, February 8, 2014, from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.  The conference will be held in the Student Center on the Huntsville campus, located at 102 B Wynn Drive, Huntsville.

The conference targets college and high school students throughout the state of Alabama. Participants will learn how interest in video games, cell phones and apps can be put to good use, as well as about computer security, ethical hacking, social engineering, cool tools, hacking ethics, security-related internships, jobs, start-ups, and much more! The agenda includes workshops/demos, EC-Council CSCU certification preparation, gifts and prizes, breakfast and lunch, in addition to a full slate of exciting speakers.

Keynote speaker for the conference is Dr. Casey Wardynski, Superintendent, Huntsville City Schools.
