Calhoun CIS Faculty Member Recognized by Cisco Academy

Cynthia Stephenson, an instructor in the Computer Information Systems department at Calhoun Community College, was recently recognized as an Expert Level Instructor by the Cisco Networking Academy.

According to the Academy, Stephenson’s impressive accomplishments and contributions garnered her recognition as one of the top 10 percent of the more than 20,000 instructors globally.  An instructor's recognition is based on scores in the areas of participation in online instructor communities; the number of professional development opportunities completed; attention to student needs; student performance; and the use of resources.  The honor also brings with it the opportunity for Stephenson to serve on the Global Instructor Advisory Group and the ability to use the special icon associated with the recognition with her name.

“I know that I speak for the entire Calhoun family when I say just how very proud we are of Cynthia for this outstanding accomplishment,” commented Calhoun President Marilyn Beck.  “An honor such as this demonstrates a high level of professionalism and expertise and one for which we feel Cynthia is well-deserving,” Beck added.
